Vikings & the Fjord

10 stops
Morning — Bygdøy Peninsula
Viking Ship Museum
🎧
🚌 Bus 30 to Vikingskipshuset · Bygdøy
Three actual Viking ships from the 9th century — the best-preserved Viking vessels anywhere in the world. The Oseberg ship (834 AD) was used as a burial chamber for two women of high status and is the most ornately carved wooden object to survive from the Viking Age. The scale is astonishing: these are real ocean-going ships, not rowboats.
